Argyll Voluntary Action

Argyll Voluntary Action brings together Argyll and Bute Volunteer Centre and Argyll CVS into one organisation.  Within a landscape where there are many challenges for the voluntary sector this is partly a response to changes and expectations from national and local government and partly the culmination of a long held ambition of the Chair, David Price and the respective boards of Trustees.

With funding levels under pressure and future uncertainty the new organisation is streamlined with joint back office functions, one lead Manager, Glenn Heritage and a commitment to the future of the voluntary and community sector in Argyll and Bute.

AVA is very aware of the difficult situation facing many voluntary organisations, a difficulty which it shares, and of the need to offer high quality support services to the sector and to volunteers and volunteer involving organisation.
